UCL Enterprise 2014 Annual Review.
I helped design UCL Enterprise's 2014 Annual Review while working at Navig8, building on their original concept to deliver a clean, professional report with a striking die-cut cover and connecting ribbon motif that beautifully wove the theme of 'connections' throughout the document.

Bringing the theme of 'connections' to life in a premium annual review that clearly showcased UCL Enterprise's 2014 achievements while staying true to the university's innovative brand.
UCL Enterprise's annual review needed to communicate real impact – spin-outs, partnerships, funding, and knowledge exchange – in a way that felt credible and engaging. But the core challenge was visually embodying the year's central theme of 'connections' across people, ideas, businesses, and academia. A finished piece that felt cohesive, luxurious, and purposeful, meeting high client standards.
Execute a refined design where connecting ribbons flowed through every page, starting with a die-cut cover that kicked off the visual story.
While at Navig8, I helped refine and deliver the report by integrating the 'connections' theme as a subtle yet powerful graphic device: elegant ribbons that ran continuously across spreads, linking sections, images, and stories together. The cover featured a precise die-cut that physically started those ribbons, creating an immediate sense of flow and interaction from the very first page. We paired this with a clean grid, strong typography, high-impact photography, and consistent visual hierarchy to make the content feel premium, modern, and effortlessly connected – creating a cohesive narrative.
Creating a report that didn't just show achievements – it made you feel the quiet power of every connection that made them possible.
When the 2014 Annual Review landed in people's hands, you could sense the excitement: the die-cut cover pulled you in, those flowing ribbons quietly guided you page by page, linking stories of brilliant minds, bold spin-outs, and real-world breakthroughs into one unbroken thread. It felt alive with the energy of people coming together, ideas, and futures taking shape. Working at Navig8, we managed to capture something genuinely moving about UCL Enterprise's work: how every partnership, every conversation, every leap from lab to market are built on human connections. The client loved it, and honestly, so did we.
