Making a book about cutting back on drinking whilst feeling warm, hopeful, and not preachy in a sensitive space.
Had to connect fast with readers who are rethinking their habits. The cover needed to invite without scaring, interior had to guide through steps and exercises gently, stay credible yet light, and avoid the heavy clinical look that turns people off.
Design a calm, confident book with a welcoming cover and clear, easy-to-follow pages with space to reflect.
Kept the inside black-only and used soft greys, strong but friendly typography, subtle icons, generous margins for notes, and distinct step-by-step sections. Everything felt positive, modern, and easy to engage with, keeping the tone encouraging.
A book that meets people where they are.
The book turned out exactly as it should – the cover feels approachable, and the pages guide you through the steps like a calm conversation. Synergy Publishers got a clean, professional title they could feel good about. Straightforward work that does what it's supposed to do.
